At Brighthouse Day Camp, campers participate in over a wide variety of activities each week in their daily schedule. Throughout the summer we also host many exciting special events and guests, to create the ultimate schedule for our campers.

COLOR WAR
For many of us, Color War represents the pinnacle of the summer camp season. It is the single most anticipated event of the summer.
Color War kicks off week 7 with a huge surprise celebration that we call the “Breakout”. It can happen at any time. You will know the time has come when something out of the ordinary happens.
Once it does break, the Official Team Names, as well as the names of our team generals are immediately announced. At this point, campers are placed on teams, BLACK or ORANGE, and the following 4 days are set for battle!
Color War takes place in just about every part of our location with over 50+ activities all week.
As we play in games and competitions all week, we stress two very important factors: fair play and teamwork. At Brighthouse Day Camp we consider Color War a time to bring our campers together, teaching them how to work together as a team to achieve a common goal.
THE BELT
Morning Flagpole feature camp groups vying for the opportunity to win the Brighthouse Day Camp “Group of the Week” Championship BELT. Campers cheer and make signs claiming they are ELITE and to have the honor to hold “THE BELT” throughout the week and have a Pizza Party on Fridays. WE WANT THE BELT, WE WANT THE BELT!!
BIRTHDAYS
Our morning flagpole feature a celebration of a very special kind. We like to acknowledge those camper celebrating a birthday that day. Each camper will receive a huge “Happy Birthday” from the entire camp as they “Skip Around the Room”. We also have our Annual Birthday Bash that will celebrate everyone’s birthday as a Special Event during the summer.
