At Brighthouse Day Camp, You Will

Entering Kindergarten – 8th grade

Make a difference in the lives of children.

Develop new friendships.

Be a role model for children as well as other staff.

Demonstrate and develop leadership and teaching skills.

Show your camp spirit and enthusiasm.

Gain valuable life skills for future employment and careers.

As A Staff Member At Brighthouse Day Camp, You Agree To

Make the health, welfare, and safety of the campers your #1 priority.

Work for the entire nine weeks unless there are arrangements for you to be a Spare Counselor.

Not be on your phone during camp hours unless instructed by the camp administration.

Complete an application, provide required references, and complete paperwork promptly.

Attend all Staff Orientation, pre-camp day meetings, extended evening activities, and specialist meetings if applicable.

Be on time and make any appointments after the camp day.

Wear your camp shirt, appropriate footwear, and masks if required.

Participate in special events and activities and wear dress-up attire as requested.

Support the camp administration and goals and abide by all policies and procedures.

Follow your daily schedule, participate enthusiastically and encourage camper involvement.

Plan and carry out the program as determined for your bunk and assist Specialists in all activities.

Brighthouse Day Camp Specialists Agree To

Plan and carry out the program as determined by the Camp Director.

Assist in program set-up before the camp season as needed.

Instruct assigned classes.

Wear clothing appropriate to your position.
